Remember how Obama and his Democrat buddies carried on about the injustice of people who had pre-existing conditions not being able to get insurance coverage and how Obamacare would provide those poor, suffering souls with benefits; how anyone who opposed Obamacare was cold-hearted and selfish? That was one of his salient points when he was doing his carnival huckster routine hawking healthcare reform. I guess we were all supposed to feel guilty for being so callous.
Well, well, well! As it turns out Obama was doing one of his scam routines he’s become so renowned for. About 200,000 Americans who have pre-existing conditions that have prevented them from getting regular insurance won’t be eligible for Obamacare. They will not be allowed to enroll this summer in the new lower cost federal program.
It turns out that the problem is any patient who had enrolled in extremely expensive state plans designed to cover patients with pre-existing conditions aren’t eligible for Obamacare. It’s all set out in the fine print.
The nation’s new and improved heathcare reform that was passed using any means necessary does indeed create a far cheaper insurance program for people with pre-existing medical conditions. It’s scheduled to open for enrollment on July 1. Unfortunately, for a person to qualify for enrollment, he or she can’t have had health care coverage for six months.
In other words, Obamacare ambushes anyone who is enrolled in a pricey state plan. Here’s a real-life catch-22 situation. Most people who have pre-existing conditions can’t go without coverage for six months but they can’t enroll in Obama’s super-duper healthcare plan unless they do. Bottom line – the people who have been sacrificing all along to pay for the expensive state coverage are being penalized.
But they shouldn’t feel like they’re being penalized. After all, they’ve just joined the “let nail as many suckers as we can” club. Obamacare penalizes people who have the audacity to have what the Democrats decide are “Cadillac plans.” It penalizes people who don’t need to or choose not to buy insurance. It penalizes businesses that don’t provide their workers with “government-approved” coverage. And, best of all, it penalizes anyone who pays taxes.
As it turns out, there’s growing confirmation that Obama and his pals have sold us a product we didn’t need for a problem we didn’t know we had at a price we can’t afford.
