Where Are Woodward and Bernstein When You Need Them?

The stench that is Washington is becoming more rancid by the day and where are all those upholders of truth? The "free press" aka: the main stream media!

With all the behind close door dealings with Unions,Pharma and legislators give backs (Cornhusker Kick Back, Lousiana Purchase, Medicare Advantage fix for Florida etc.)you would think the "free press" would be all over these stories. Would it have been different if a Bush was in the White House?

The administartion started the year off with Tax Cheat Geitner and lobbyist Daschle, who also had tax issues. If they were Bush appointees the saga would be still be written about in the "free press" and discussed on television "free press" outlets.

Attorney General Holder holding information from the Senate during his confirmation. Can you imagine the uproar if John Ascroft did the same. The Times would put Jayson Blair back on the payroll to run down the leads (had to put that snide remark in couldn't help myself.)

The stimulus bill being voted on in the middle of the night, with none of our esteemed Demonuts reading it. Could you imagine Keith Oberman's tirade if it were Bush's Republicans? He would still be ranting about it!

Sestak offered a job if he bowed out of the Pa. Senate primary against Arlen Specter. The White House has been stonewalling this for two weeks. Didn't stonewalling get Nixon in trouble. Is there a peep from Tingleman Mathews. I guess Stestak is a racist and a Tea Party member.

Rep. Rangle gets a free pass with the press but not Massa. When did Pelosi know about Rep. Massa's canoodling ? Another coverup? Poor Tom Foley!(sorry I'm using all these Watergate terms.)

Oh, did I mention Barney Frank making sure car dealships in his district did not get closed. Bill Ayers, Cass Sunstein, Van Jones, ACORN, judgeships for votes and dropping federal probes for votes, should I go on.

Poor George Bush the "free press' would have made his life a living hell. But, the adoring press has been genuflecting and adoring President Obama for the last 14 months. How about it Chris Mathews question Pelosi on the most transparent (behind closed doors) Congress ever!

I have left a lot out but I think you get the idea. The "free press" doesn't see or don't want to see what is plain to any common sense American... this current regime is as corrupt as it gets. Journalistic integrity has died. The 'free press" is in protect his backside mode. They have no one to blame but themselves for falling sales and tv ratings.

I'm kidding = it's all Fox's fault!
