Are You Fed Up Yet ?

When the Climategate scandal broke in November, it exposed an arrogant disrespect
of the peer review process and widespread complicity among climate researchers to hide and manipulate data that conflicted with the global warming agenda. There was essentially a blackout by the Main Stream Media. Even with intentional global temperature misrepresentation by the two premier U.S. climate agencies – National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) -- the major news outlets chose not to inform the public.

This past weekend Katie Couric, Brian Williams and their fellow cronies on the idiot box and in the printed media continued to exhibit their unprofessional reporting when they completely ignored the confessions of the Climategate head conspirator Phi Jones. The entire man-made global warming theory is based on the relationship with rising CO2 levels, so Jones’ confession that 20th-century global warming isn’t unprecedented pretty well shoots down the “consensus" hyperbole that man and all the evils of capitalism are destroying the planet the so-called purveyors of truth spoon-fed the public for years. In other words, we’ve been played for suckers.

Humor me while I bore you with some data. The current level of carbon dioxide is about 380 parts per million. The EPA estimates that if no action is taken to curb emissions, CO2 will be 718 ppm by 2095. If the Low Carbon Economy Act of 2007 is implemented, the EPA estimates that CO2 levels would be 695 ppm by 2095 — a whopping reduction of 23 ppm.

So, exactly what does this mean to the average citizen? If the bill is implemented, it might reduce the average global temperature by 0.12 degrees Celsius. If the maximum regulation were implemented (all countries — including China, India, Brazil and other developing nations — curb CO2 emissions), the average global temperature might be reduced by 0.18 degrees Celsius. In other words, the difference between the no-action scenario and the maximum-regulation scenario would be about 0.17 degrees Centigrade. And that’s over about 95 years.

Hold on! The ethically challenged Dr. Jones has been forced to come clean. There has been no statistically-significant global warming since 1995. In fact, global temperatures have been trending to the downside since January of 2002. Yet, only Fox News and the Wall Street Journal reported anything about Jones admission. Hello, Katie and Keith. . .

But why let falsified data stop the environmental doomsayers? EPA has initiated steps toward bypassing the legislative process and regulating greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act. They are using the flawed data as justification for their actions.

So, why should Joe six-pack be concerned? Because the actions of the environmental zealots will directly hit him in the wallet. Job losses will be in the hundreds of thousands. And don’t think they’ll be replaced with so-called green jobs. It’s estimated that for every 1 green job that is created, 2.5 regular jobs will be lost.

Hardest-hit are man ufacturing jobs, with losses approaching 3 million. Particularly vulnerable are jobs in durable manufacturing, machinery, manufacturing, textiles, electrical equipment and appli ances, paper, and plastics and rubber products. Interestingly, since the EPA rule is unilateral and few other nations are likely to follow our lead, many of the manufacturing jobs go overseas.

Even closer to home is the estimate that family incomes will be reduced by about $2,000 a year if, indeed, there is a family income.

So let’s celebrate. If the environmental whackos get their way, not only will trillions of taxpayer dollars be wasted, the economy will be devastated and millions of Americans will be without a job – all without affecting global temperature in a meaningful, much less a detectable way.

I dont know where I saw it but the nut jobs are saying that we will have less storms but stronger ones because of global warming. Will it ever end?
