Ahhhhh the Power of Prayer!!
For those who believe this country was founded on Judeau-Christian Values, I say thank you for having the courage to again call on the Lord and ask for his protection and guidance last night. I know prayers were said last night. I know many fell to their knees and asked for HIS help. And what a sign HE sent. Although there are those who would like to push HIM out of our lives, HE let us know HE will never leave us in our hour of need if we only call HIS name.
What better way to tell us than Scott Brown winning the election. I am not saying he is a savior by any means. But what this elections does is show the radical left that we will not be herded like sheep. We will not sit idly by while they destroy our way of life. What better place to show them than in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, rich in the history of this great nation. What better seat to win than the seat once held by Ted Kennedy.
Ted Kennedy devoted his life to health care. I disagreed with him on many things. I didn't like him as a person. I never saw past his crude behavior, and his bad life choices, but I am sure he was forgiven, because he sought the Lord's forgiveness. But there are consequences for bad behavior, and the results of this election may be it.
So what is the message here? Kennedy was wrong? No,... we all agree Health Care Reform is needed in this country. But I like to think even Kennedy would not approve of the way this health care effort was being shoved at the American people. Take it as a sign, Mr. O. - We are a Christian Nation! And we are not the kind of people who can be bullied into the debt ridden program you are proposing. You are proposing the destruction of the greatest Health Care System in the world. Sure, it needs work,... but the kind of work it needs is not what you are implementing, and what you are implementing will destroy health care in this country forever and maybe even bring about the destruction of this country as we know it.
We know this, and evidently so does Our Lord.....Joni/NJ 01/20/2010
