Since April people in the Tea Party movement have been denigrated as being racists, rednecks, Nazis and whatever other name you can think of. But recently polls have indicated that many more people relate to the tea party ideals and/or candidates than to the other two parties. One thing that cannot be taken for granted is the growing anger over politicians that spend our money, blatantly buy votes and do not listen to the majority of American people. Whether it will turn into positive results come November 2010 will we have to wait and see. But there are candidates emerging that reflect this growing dissent.
Three come to mind: Doug Hoffman of New York, Scott Brown of Massachusetts and Trevor Drown of Arkansas all fiscal conservatives that believe in governing by the constitution. As they say Rome was not built in a day but in less than a year the tea party movement has a least flushed out some candidates that believe as they do. How many more are sitting on the sidelines waiting to be nudged into battle?
